September 29, 2012 - Magnuson to Marymoor

We can meet at Bethany Greenlake at 9:00AM to consolidate cars and carpool together. If you prefer to meet at Magnuson Park parking lot W6, please be there planning to hit the trail at 10AM.

Starting in Seattle and will bike along the ol' Burke Gilman Trail to Marymoor Park.

I would like to have the pace be at least 12mph, which I think that most of you were able to keep easily.

     Saturday, September 29th, 2011 10:00AM -       Magnuson Park lot W6
     This parking lot is directly off the entrance off of NE 74th Street. I attached a map of the park. CLICK HERE FOR MAP

     I will be in the parking lot at my White Toyota 4Runner with the trunk open. I have a black road bike.

Destination (Start and finish)

     Start: Magnuson Park, lot W6

     Turn Around:  Marymoor Park (20 miles)

     Finish: Magnuson park, lot W6

Terrain (Flat, Hilly, etc.)

     The ride is pretty flat, it is all "rail road" grade.

Distance of the ride (Mileage)

     The distance of the ride will be around 30-40 miles round trip. We can decide how we are all feeling and adjust the ride accordingly.

I hope your summers went well. I got the list of registrants today. Below is the schedule of rides. It basically involves riding every other week on Saturdays. We leave in the morning and typically meet between 900AM and 1000AM. I also normally try to send out directions/ride instructions/ride plans/call-it-what-you-want the Monday before the ride. We typically meet as a group at BCC Greenlake OR at a designated meeting spot, I will always specifically note that in the "ride email."

Since I just got the roster, I was not able to do that. So I will have to forward this Saturday's ride info tomorrow.

Sept. 26 - Burke Gilman Seattle to Redmond (Paved Trail, Intro Ride)
Oct. 13 - Green River Trail (Paved Trail)
Oct. 27 - Fall City to Carnation (Farm Roads)
Nov. 10 - Mercer Island (Mix of Road and Paved Trail)
Nov. 24 - Cedar River Trail (Paved Trail)
Dec. 8 - Gas Works to Alki (Mix of Road and Paved Trail)
