*************We leave BCC Greenlake at 9:15AM****************

Starting in Snohomish and will bike along the Centennial Trail.. The trail can take you to all the way up to Skagit County. For this ride we will probably clock in around 25+ miles. The trail is all flat. There are a few restrooms as well as drinking fountains along the way, but I highly recommend bringing a water bottle. The trail can offer views of the Cascade Mountain Range.

I would like to have the pace be at least 12mph, which I think that most of you were able to keep easily.

Snohomish County has a bunch of information regarding the trail at:
http://www1.co.snohomish.wa.us/Departments/Parks/Park_Information/Park_Directory/Regional_Parks/Centennial_Trail.htm

Welcome 2013 Summer Cycling Riders

Hey Everybody!
Just wanted to check in and welcome everybody to the Bethany Summer Cycling Community Group. Right now this is the proposed schedule:
Date - Route - (Starting City)
6/8 - Farm Road Ride Carnation & East King County Farm County (Fall City, WA)
7/6 - Centennial Trail (Snohomish, WA)
7/20 - Cedar River Trail, (Renton, WA)
8/3 - Mercer Island Loop, (Seattle, WA)
8/17 - ?

I am still working on details for the rides (this weekend is planned out, more about that later..). I am sorry about the large gap between rides in June, but I have to go to Spain and it wasn't planned when I decided lead the group.

A little about the group. For the past few years we have been going on rides all around the Puget Sound. Our range is typically as far north as Snohomish and as far south as Puyallup. We have gone on some rides in Wenatchee and Cle Elum as well. I plan to pepper in some mountain bike rides on non listed dates. I will email out the group when I come up with those, but think of them as bonus rides....

Please keep in mind that this is a physical activity. I do not expect you to be a Tour de France professional, but I do expect an ability to ride your bike comfortably at a reasonable pace for the safety of yourself and the group. I understand there are slower people and faster people, this is not a competitive group, its a fun and recreational group.

How the group typically works:
  1. I sent out an email with a pretty detailed plan for the ride. I try to get that out to you all a week before the ride. I will cross post everything on a blog that I keep at: http://cyclingbcc.blogspot.com/
  2. Meet at BCC Greenlake to consolidate cars.
  3. Drive to starting point.
  4. Ride.
If you have any questions, pop me an email, or call me, or text me.
